This 2024 Electric Moke comes to us from a good customer of Celebrity Cars, and it's one you rarely see in the States. Most electric "Mokes" for sale in the U.S. are the 25 mph low-speed vehicles. This one does 50 mph, twice the speed. It's the real British car, built in England by Moke International, the company that holds the Moke name and carries on the original Sir Alec Issigonis design. It shows just 194 actual miles and has a clean Nevada title with no brands.
That top speed changes how you can use the car. The U.S. Moke America car is a federally classified Low Speed Vehicle, capped at 25 mph and limited to roads posted 35 mph or less. This British Moke reaches 50 mph, so you can keep up with traffic on normal city streets and boulevards and aren't stuck in neighborhoods and resort roads.
Moke International reimagined the 1960s icon as a modern EV without losing what made it fun. It still has the open-air body, the go-anywhere attitude, and the beach-club charm that made the original a favorite from Saint-Tropez to the Caribbean. Underneath, it's a different machine. A 33 kW (44 hp) peak motor drives the rear wheels, and 130 Nm (96 lb-ft) of instant torque moves this featherweight car from 0-30 mph in about 4.5 seconds. It runs to a top speed of 50 mph and covers an official 54 miles on a charge. A full charge takes about 4 hours, and 80% takes about 2.
At just 1,633 lbs empty, according to its Nevada title, the British Moke weighs roughly 650 lbs less than the 2,300-lb U.S. low-speed version. That's why it feels so quick and nimble. This documentation fee also includes profit to the dealership. This fee will not be discounted or waived under any circumstance. Buyers are responsible for all state, county and local taxes and fees as well as any registration and title fees applicable in and required by the state in which the buyer will register and title the vehicle. In the event of an out of state sale the buyer is responsible for consulting with their state's DMV regarding the requirements for acquiring a temporary driving permit. Vehicles shipped out of state will not be provided with a drive away permit.
